The latest club to join the Hyundai A-League, Western United FC represents the greater west of Melbourne in Australia's elite national domestic football (soccer) competition from the 2019/20 Season.

Be sure to stop by, grab some giveaways and see if you can hit the bullseye on the giant inflatable dartboard.

Ascot Vale Panthers Football Club

The Panthers are a FAMILY FIRST football club of the west where all players, siblings, parents, extended family, friends and general community are welcomed in a safe and fun environment.

The Panthers teach, motivate, encourage and advise young players, emphasising discipline, fitness and sportsmanship in the environment of a successful community football team.

Enjoy skills sessions, inflatables, match simulation games and treat yourself to a well-earned sausage after the session as the Panthers have the BBQ covered!

Moonee Valley Knights

Moonee Valley Knights Football (soccer) Club was established in 1986 – known then as The Pharos, fielding a Men’s team. Over years, the club started youth and women's teams with now more than 150 juniors and over 200 players overall.

The team will be providing clinics, information, coaching and inflatables to enjoy throughout the day.

Qualified coach and Phys-ed teacher Michael Dolan and the Western Region Volleyball team are back in 2020!

WRV deliver high quality volleyball events, tournaments, run clinics and provide high level coaching to people of all ages and abilities.

The Dance Centre is located in Airport West and is Melbourne's FIRST Holistic Dance Studio, offering all styles of Dance, Fitness and Yoga classes to students.

The team will perform a routine concert, then put together an engaging demonstration and a dance class not to be missed.

Bluefire Bellydancers

Bluefire Bellydancers is a school with locations in Altona and Airport West, teaching people of all ages, sizes and abilities this beautiful and ancient art form of Oriental Fusion Bellydance. We enjoy fostering a supportive, community based environment within the bellydancing community.

Come and join Paulina and the entire Mi Vida Crew with an electric Zumba experience.

Grooving to modernised sounds of Salsa, Merengue, Flamenco, Reggeaton, Bachata and Popular Dance Music, Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. You don't need to be a great dancer to feel welcome in Zumba, you just need to come along and enjoy the experience!

Food and Drink

What food is available?

There will be a small range of food available at the event and while effort has been made to ensure a range of healthy and allergen free food, those with specific requirements may wish to bring their own food.

Food vendors include:

  • Salt & Pepa Food Truck

  • Swaggys Ice Cream Van

  • Ascot Vale Panthers Football Club BBQ

Can we bring our own food?

Attendees are welcome to bring their own food, and encouraged to bring picnic rugs or deck chairs. Please note that picnic facilities (tables, chairs) are not provided at the event site.

Moonee Valley is spoilt for choice with many parks, reserves and walking trails that have shared paths for pedestrians and cyclists. Visit https://mvcc.vic.gov.au/play/my-outdoors/walking-cycling/ to discover what routes and trails are available to walk or cycle.

Can I drive there?

Yes, however as parking is extremely limited we encourage attendees to catch public or active modes of transport if possible.

FAQ

Is the event free?

Yes, this event is free.

Can I bring my dog?

This event is for the whole family to enjoy and dogs are welcome. Please ensure that your dog is on leash and that you have brought adequate provisions to feed, water and clean up after them.

Is there a map or program?

Maps and programs will be made available online to download. There will also be a limited number of programs and maps available from Council’s information tent.

Medical help and lost children

First Aid is available on site throughout the course of the event.

ID wrist bands will be available at the Information Tent, where parents can write their name and phone number and attach the band to the child. A Lost Children Point will be set up next to the Information tent. If you lose your child please contact Event staff at Information Tent or moving around the site. Staff will be identifiable in high-vis vests.

Will there be ATMs?

No, there are no ATMs available and we recommend bringing cash for food and drink purchases. 

Is there a lost and found?

A ‘lost property’ point will be located at Council’s information tent.

Where are the toilets?

Toilets will be located within the Walter Reserve Pavillion. 

Accessible toilets will also be available onsite. 

What access facilities will be available at the event?

We aim to make all festival events fun and accessible for everyone.

Accessible bathrooms and wheelchair access provisions will be available at all festival events.

What should I bring?

As this is an outdoor event please be aware of the weather and bring sun protection or wet weather gear.

While water will be available on site for purchase, we ask our festival attendees to be mindful of the environment and bring their own water bottle that can be filled at the events hydration station.

What if there are adverse weather conditions?

A cancellation procedure will be in effect in the event of adverse weather conditions. Announcements regarding any event cancellations will be made in advance of the event’s commencement on the Festival website and Council’s after hours and social media channels.
